General information on wood and age recommendation
As a natural product, wood can exhibit irregularities due to growth. Even with careful pressure impregnation and fine processing, rough spots may occur. Such characteristics do not affect the statics or durability of the play tower. Suitable for children aged 3 - 10 years
Caution: Not suitable for children under 3 years of age. Exclusively intended for domestic use and should always be used under the direct supervision of adults.
With the Fungoo My Side play tower, you can bring a little adventure into your garden. It combines fun, learning and exercise to create a piece of play equipment that your children will love.
Older children without climbing experience can let off steam on the large climbing arch at around 2.5 to 3 years of age. At 44cm, this is significantly higher and much larger overall, which of course also presents a greater challenge.
When turned upside down, both arches are also ideal as a seesaw. We have also designed a special cushion for this, which we call the sloth. This means that your child can not only swing comfortably in the arch, but can also relax, look at a book or take a nap.

What materials is our arch made from? The sides are made from sustainable 18 mm thick Baltic birch plywood. The round poles are made from aspen wood with a diameter of 28 mm.
Pollutant-free and harmless: no paints or dyes are used in the Kletterling workshop. Your Kletterling is sanded exclusively by hand. Your child can feel, see and smell the soft wood so that they don't lose touch with nature. Naturalness is the best protection against harmful substances and sensitises children to the wonders of nature. In our FAQ you will find detailed information on why we do not want any chemicals in our climbing frames and what we are doing to keep it that way.
Care instructions: we recommend that you do not oil the natural wood. If there are any annoying stains on the climbing frames, these can be easily sanded off with the sandpaper supplied. The sandpaper is very fine-grained and you can use it to gently sand the affected area or, for example, the entire rung. And don't worry, there's plenty of climbing fun left over after sanding.
Suitable for children from 10 months under supervision up to the age of 6/7 years. Always remember that every child has their own pace. Never place, sit or hang your child on or from the climbing triangle. Your child will explore the Kletterling on their own and take the time they need to do so (Emmi Pikler approach).
Educational benefits: The climbing frames are a lot of fun! And, incidentally, independent movement development. The climbing frames can be used for motor development from the age of 10 months. Children explore the play equipment with curiosity and discover how to pull up, stand and later climb. Independent use by the child promotes their self-confidence in their own abilities. By conquering and discovering the climbing toys, they develop body tension, safety and self-efficacy. The sense of balance is trained and the muscles develop. Over time, the children develop a love of remodelling the climbing toys, extending them or creating something completely new, which encourages creativity and free play. With our climbing toys, the "need for independence, which is an essential characteristic of child development" (Emmi Pikler and Elfriede Hengstenberg) can be met. We have received a lot of feedback and are delighted with the great progress that developmentally delayed children have made with our climbing frames. Climbing frames are also used in physiotherapy and occupational therapy.
Our tip: please do not place, sit or hang your child on the climbing frames as this increases the risk of injury. The climbing frames only fulfil their purpose when your child tries out the climbing triangle, for example, on their own. Gradually, they will first try pulling themselves up, then standing on it and only later climbing. Your baby will learn to climb up from the safety of the ground all by itself and thus gain its own sense of security. Your child will learn to use the new toy and recognise their own limits. You will be amazed at how brave and confident your child can be. Show your baby the new device and be curious and above all patient about what happens and when. Every child has their own pace. Never leave your child unattended and be there to help!
